New Senior Secondary Curriculum

(A) Principles

	- students take 4 compulsory core subjects (Chinese, English, Mathematics and Liberal Studies)
	- plus 3 elective subjects
	- subject combinations: Arts, Science and Social Science

(B) Electives

X2a	History	Chinese History		X2b	Business, Accounting & Financial Studies	Information and Communication Technology	Chemistry
X3	Business, Accounting & Financial Studies	Economics	Tourism and Hospitality Studies	+	Combined Science (Physics and Chemistry)	Biology	Information and Communication Technology

Other subjects: Visual Arts, Music, Physical and Health Education

(1) students should choose one subject from X1a, X2a, X3, 3 subjects in total
(2) subjects in the same category will be taught at the same time
(3) X1a and X1b (same as X2a and X2b) have different timetables
(4) X3 subjects are open to all students

(C) Considerations
       (1) Students' abilities and interests
       (2) prospects and potentials of subjects
       (3) choices of study in universities
       (4) qualifications, experience, special abilities and interests, training and preparation of HLC teachers
       (5) NSS assessment methods and syllabuses
       (6) university admission requirements
       (7) facilities, amenities and resources

新高中課程：

(一) 原則

	- 學生必須修讀四個核心科目 (即中,英,數及通識教育)
	- 及三個選修科目
	- 科目組別分文、理及社會科學

(二) 選修科目

	A班	B班			C班	D班	E班
X1a	中國文學	地理		X1b	經濟	物理	生物
X2a	歷史	中國歷史		X2b	企業會計與財務概論	資訊及通訊 科技	化學
X3	企業會計與 財務概論	經濟	旅遊與款待	及	組合科學 (物理及化學)	生物	資訊及通訊 科技

其他科目： 視覺藝術、音樂、體育及健康教育

(1) 學生須於 X1a, X2a, X3 或 X1b, X2b, X3 三組科目中，各選一科，合共三科
例：中國文學 + 中國歷史 + 生物 // 物理 + 企業會計與財務概論 + 旅遊與款待
(2) 同一組別的科目會同一時段上課
(3) 但 X1a 與 X1b (同樣 X2a 和 X2b) 被視為兩個不同組別，不會同一時段上課
(4) 任何班別的學生均可選讀 X3 的科目

(三) 開設科目時的考慮
(1) 學生的能力和興趣
(2) 選修該科的前景及發展
(3) 升讀大學時的選擇
(4) 本校老師的學歷、經驗、專長、興趣、訓練及準備
(5) 香港高中文憑考試的課程及考評方法
(6) 大學收生的準則及要求
(7) 學校的設備、教學設施及資源
