In this MT session, three mathematics teachers, Mr Tom Chow, Mr Ng Wai Fung and Ms Laura Ho, shared their tips of study skills.

Mr Chow brought his exercise books to share with students how he highlighted important concepts in class and how important note-taking was to revision. He also mentioned the points to note when students are revising examples.

Mr Ng stressed the importance of Mathematics as it is a core subject. He shared with the students that how hard-working they should be in order to meet the public exam requirement by using his own personal experience as example.

Last but not least, Ms Ho shared the importance of checking our work in order to improve accuracy. She introduced the word “SUPERB” as checklist to minimize common careless mistakes: S for sign or significant figures, U for unit, P for presentation, E for erased work, R for rejecting inapplicable answers and B for bracket.
