S1 Meaningful Task (Estimation)

On 12th November 2010, a meaningful task about estimation was organized for S1 students. In this activity, general concepts about estimation were explained, and several estimation strategies which could be applied in daily life were taught.

In the process the mathematical skills of the students were strengthened and a close relation between cognitive knowledge in the textbook and personal experiences in daily life was linked. Most students had shown their enthusiasm in learning through their active participation in the tasks.
