In order to arouse students’ interest in Mathematics, a meaningful task was held for S.1 students during the lunch time on 5th October. It was about a classical logic game invented by Germany. Most students consider Mathematics as a monotonous and tedious subject, dealing with the manipulation of number and calculation of some unknowns meaninglessly. The only solution to this problem is to arouse their interest and curiosity towards Mathematics. By using mathematics as a tool to provide solutions to the game, the students discover the wide application of mathematics. This particular meaningful task also succeeded in boosting their motivation as well as stimulating their curiosity. Most of the students participated actively and think that this meaningful task was interesting and worthwhile. A friendly and interactive learning atmosphere was created and this meaningful task successfully developed student’s logical and critical thinking skills.
