History Introduction The study of history helps to develop a global perspective and an enhanced understanding of the processes of interaction, diversification and rapid change in today’s world. Upon the completion of this course, students should have mastered higher-order thinking skills such as analysis, synthesis and evaluation that will enable them to appreciate where they stand in the long flow of human history. Students will be provided with an opportunity to pursue a study that transcends the temporal, cultural and political boundaries of our world. This curriculum also takes the stand that there are some fundamental values and attitudes commonly held in our community and across other societies, such as regard for human life and dignity and the quest for peace, cooperation and prosperity that are the attributes of a responsible citizen.
