Visiting Hong Kong Monetary Authority

On 21st May 2011, we visited the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA). There is an exhibition centre about the history of Hong Kong’s banking and currency and our visit was divided into four parts. First of all, the staff of HKMA taught us how to test whether the currency is counterfeit or not. Now, all of us are experts of distinguishing fait money. Secondly, he introduced the production process of local currency. Then, he introduced the evolution of local currency. Finally, he went through the history of Hong Kong’s financial industry with us.

In this visiting, we learned a lot of information that cannot be found in book. This visiting is interesting and remarkable.
