Activities HKICPA “Rich Kid, Poor Kid” road show Business, Accounting and Financial Studies AND MCE organised a financial management talk to S1 students. The Institute created a road show for secondary school students using a video and instant polling to get teenagers thinking about their money habits and choices. Two CPA presenters lead the road show that lasts about one and a half hours.
Here is the feedback from students: Lai Cheuk Ying, Chloe 1A My Feeling about the Financial Talk Our school invited some people from Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants to have a talk with us about the financial. It lasted for about one and a half hours. First, there was a video about wealth views of some teenagers. Then, they introduced how to spend money wisely and save our money. After this financial talk, I am glad that I could learn more about spending money from it. It is useful for my future. I hope I can have other talk about the financial in the future so that I can learn more about how i manage my money and savings properly. Lee Ho Suet, Crystal 1A Today I had a financial talk during the Home-room Period. The financial talk was very useful to us. It told how to use our pocket money wisely. Also, taught what is the right concept of using money. Actually, I've planned a planning of using money. I think I need to save my money in the bank and I need to save a certain amount of money every month. Finally, I think today this talk taught mo a lot of using money. Lam Ching Hei, Natalie 1A I learnt a lot of things about financial in this financial talk. In the financial talk, it let us understand how to manage our money. We should never spend more than the amount of money that we can afford. We should also make plans to manage our money, like calculating how much you spent and set an amount of money that you should save. Also, we shouldn't spend a lot of money to buy what we want, instead of what we need. I think this financial talk is important to us, since before this financial talk, I had never thought of how to spend my money wisely or how to manage my money. After this talk, I knew that I should start planning how to spend and save my money. If not, I will be in an financial trouble. |
