Address at Foundation Day Opening Ceremony

This is the 2nd time we hold a round-the-school race and this is the first time that we celebrate our Foundation Day with a round-the-school race. Foundation Day is the day when we remember and celebrate the founding of our school. On this day we should all remind ourselves the reason for The Hong Kong Federation to set up this school in Tin Shui Wai in 2006. It is because the Federation believes that children in this area deserve a better education. So on Foundation Day to-day let us remember that we do not organize this race to find out who runs faster.  Finishing No. 1 is not the most important thing but trying to finish the race is the most important thing. When we run and when we cheer the runners, we do it as one family, we do it to make HLC a better school.

So best of luck to all the participants and thank you to all teachers, office staff, janitors and students for working so hard to make this day special. Thank you also to the parents for your support. We are blessed with fine weather; enjoy this day. Let's all work together to make HLC a better school!
